As Front End Engineer in Fulfillment Center Systems, you would be part of a group of front-end engineers who build and support Zulily's warehouse management system. This product, comprised of over 20 web and mobile-web applications, is used across Zulily and QVC's fulfillment center network and is used by thousands of team members on the floor of our FCs. Efficiency in FC operations is a critical part of what we do, so usability plays an important role in how we build.
Our front-end tech stack is Node/React/TypeScript/Redux on the client with a Node.js server layer with Typescript as our primary language. In addition to implementing applications, the front-end team owns the web UI library and front-end utilities.

Responsibilities
- Design, scope, and develop of a wide range of mobile and desktop web applications that drive mission critical activities in warehouses across the Qurate fulfillment network.
- Collaborate with Technical Product Managers and Software Engineers to deliver high quality web applications for our warehouse associates.
- Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex desktop and mobile web applications.
- Identify and remediate UI performance and scalability issues.
- Help define and rationalize an effective set of UI technologies to be used by the Fulfillment Center Systems engineering team.
Experience
- 2+ years of Javascript experience with the ability to demonstrate mastery of concepts such as closures, promises, and asynchronous programming
- 2+ years of experience with HTML/CSS
- 2+ years of experience with server side technologies and concepts such as RESTful API design, SQL, AMPQ, and key-value databases.
- Strong written and verbal skills
- A desire for the team to succeed and to do what is needed to make that happen
- Experience with Linux-based systems
- Experience with React
- Experience with Express
- Experience with Typescript
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field required. A combination of education plus equivalent work experience may be considered.
