Service Engineer 1

An Engineer 1 is part of Nordstrom Technology professionals that applies scientific, mathematical and secure principles to build and maintain technology systems and solutions. These technology products and solutions provide amazing customer experiences while meeting the needs of the business.

The Engineer within Collaboration is responsible for managing and engineering highly available, robust and scalable solutions for collaboration applications.This position’s primary focus is to implement and operate Nordstrom’s technology and business roadmap initiatives while transitioning to SaaS services when appropriate.

A day in the life…

• Manage escalated issues and concerns until closure engaging peers and communicating with users and management.
• Initiate and implement required changes.
• Coordinate activities with other engineers and teams. Resolves complex engineering problems while collaborating with and influencing others.
• Influence quality standards and understands, identifies, as well as measures KPI’s across entire solution.
• Identify and resolve performance issues.

You own this if you have…

• Associate’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Understanding of Microsoft collaboration stack including Office 365, Teams,, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
• O365,  Sharepoint, and Exchange migration and deployment experience

Nice to have…

• Exchange Server on-premises experience
• Sharepoint server on-premises experience
• Slack enterprise management experience
