QVC, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Software Quality Engineer in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Duties: Define, develop, maintain, and execute the automation of test scripts for IT projects and/or maintenance items. Strive to ensure that system requirements are satisfied for internal and external application users. Ensure project testing is complete and testing risks are identified prior to implementation. Manage defects from identification to closure through the Software Life Cycle. Define, develop, and maintain automated test scripts. Review automated test scripts and provides feedback to less experienced team players. Independently execute automated test plans and test scripts based on planned project schedules and in accordance with QA methodology. Act as a subject matter expert in Automation and functional areas. Work with Functional teams to understand how to reduce manual testing effort (regression). Understand applications, integration points and key business drivers. Proactively escalate issues to the QA Lead/Management and alerts the project team on potential impact to test schedules. Record and track defects uncovered during the execution of tests scripts. Drive defect towards resolution; proposes and designs retest cases, scripts and data. Contributes to the defect management: defect status, root cause. Provide timely and accurate status defect information and appropriate metrics to facilitate QA project reporting. Report individual status: dashboard information, open issues, risk analysis. Provide consistent and uninterrupted testing service to the organization and minimizes risk of system down time. Review user stories/requirements and specifications and provides input during requirements and specification walkthroughs.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation. Experience must include the following: 1) Developing and implementing business applications or in Quality Assurance; 2) Code evaluations and conducting code reviews; 3) Front-end Development technology (Agular JS, Phantom JS, HTML5), JIRA, Jenkins and GIT; 4) Leading test automation projects; 5) Application complex development experience, preferable with Java, Ruby, Shell, Python, C, C++; 6) Mobile Testing and Automation - Selenium, Appium, Calabash/Ruby, Cucumber; 7) Script execution through ALM; 8) SQL; 9) Knowledge of automation test engineering methodologies including automation testing concepts, verification and validation techniques, defect management, quantitative methods, risk management and measurement programs; 10) Two of the following: Selenium, Appium, Postman, SOAPUI, TestNG, XUnit, Junit or Nunit; 11) Testing concepts, verification and validation techniques, defect management, quantitative methods, risk management and measurement programs; 12) Defect tracking, quality principles and testing tools; 13) Risk Management. Statistical Analysis. Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices; 14) Oracle, Web and Middle tier testing; and 15) Architecture design and integration of frameworks and multiple modules.
