Job Description Details
The Facilities Area Supervisor will lead a team of facilities/maintenance mechanics in support of 24/7 production operations. Serve as leader in building in areas of development, safety, and housekeeping. Ensures building and equipment performs at optimal levels to support fulfillment operations in shipping of orders to all Qurate customers.
Responsibilities
Leadership – Responsible for leadership of a shift of facilities mechanics in support of fulfillment operations. May attend meetings as required. May assist Facilities Manager in the development of short- and long-term goals for the department in coordination with corporate management and works to implement strategies to attain goals.
Coordination - Coordinates maintenance activities and projects with Operations. Communicates directly with the Operations department to coordinate maintenance and repair work on equipment as needed.
Administration – Perform administrative duties as required, including payroll management, individual development plans, performance improvement plans, coaching, evaluations, and regular one on ones.
CMMS - Reviews work orders for accuracy and completion against standards. Provides metrics and details to Facilities Manager as needed. Assign work as required, including developing work orders, assets review for accuracy, and inventory management.
Critical Systems Inventory - Ensure accurate inventory accounting by ensuring spare parts are accounted for in work orders, against correct equipment. Monitor proper checkout process in utilized.
Maintenance - Monitor and audit preventative maintenance programs to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and applicability to maintain equipment in optimal levels for production. Ensure maintenance practices and procedures are followed as outlined in department procedures.
Safety Leadership - Ensure that all facilities associates are working in a safe environment and all policies and procedures are adhered to. Ensure safety programs and practices are consistently administered throughout the department.
Project Management – Participate and oversee building projects, including capital improvements, asset replacements and construction as assigned. May also be involved in process improvement projects at site level.
Continuous Improvement - Partner with operations on initiatives for implementing continuous improvement projects as well as participate in Kaizen events. May lead CI projects, including Kaizen events as well as provide support through team member assignment and application support.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) from an accredited university
Minimum Experience: 3 years management in fulfillment/distribution, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent military experience. Some degree of electrical and mechanical understanding/experience combined with a basic knowledge of construction.
Preferred Experience: 5 years maintenance/facilities management in fulfillment/distribution, industrial manufacturing, or equivalent military experience.
